
Yes, I spelled that wrong. Can you guess why? Change is happening. The rate of change seems to be increasing as well. People are beginning to see that many of these changes connect to one another and not for good. Connecting the dots is easier after the fact. For example in 2015-2017 there was a whole string of “What color is it?” internet sensations and “How good are your eyes with color?” tests.
We were told that these would help daring new research for improving and preventing blindness. What we can see now though, is that these were mass experiments on how the eye sees and the brain interprets color for the purpose of improving digital images. What we were really doing was allowing computer programs to learn how to make a fake image appear real. Every time I scored higher than all my Facebook friends on a color sensitivity test, I was telling the machine how specific it needed to be to fool me. Did anyone notice it at the time? Well, I certainly didn’t.
This is important because we rely on our eyes to understand the world around us. If computers can make a fake world, and we can’t tell the difference, how will we know what’s true? Not only could these computer abilities be used against you in a court of law, they can be used against you in everything from friendships, to work, to faith. One really big thing that God has always had on his side is Truth.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ ”) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:14-17
The elimination of truth is a big deal for those that seek to dethrone God. Whether they actually follow Satan, as is becoming increasingly popular, or they are simply high on the abilities of humanity; that there is a widespread, cultural attack on truth is undeniable.
Just this week, it was suggested that The President of The United States should create a new department where truth would be chosen by the president for all Americans. In a land where reality includes the concept that each person may choose one or more of 112 genders and change this determination from day to day as the physical expression of having X or Y chromosomes is simply not reality; that a single octogenarian could be granted the authority of defining a single, unified, reality for every single one, of the more than 330,000,000 Americans, is patently absurd.
Yet, here we are. Blazing full steam ahead into a land with no truth. It’s a snowball that has been rolling downhill on for a long time, and it is gaining speed. Picking up bits of information from every corner of society and mixing them into the giant hurtling ball of confusion.

All across society, the truth is slowly becoming harder to find. For example:
One of these things (in each of the two columns above) is not like the other. There are a host of other examples in biblical translations, like here and here. Further, there are examples all around us. In politics, we are frequently fed lies. For example the claim, “Kamala Harris Makes History as First Woman and Woman of Color to run for Vice Presiden” was never actually true. Despite the fact that Charlotta Bass was the person holding that honor, pretty much all of America has accepted the Kamala Harris falsehood.
Whether the topic is masks, medical treatments, who said what, who has the authority to dictate to manner in which you may worship, or who is alive, misinformation, disinformation, and straight-up lies are rampant and infectious.
“The days are coming,”declares the Sovereign Lord,
“when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.
People will stagger from sea to sea
and wander from north to east,
Searching for the word of the Lord,
but they will not find it.”
Amos 8:11-12
Remember John 17:17, the word of God is truth. Truth is the word of God. They are tied together, remove one, the other will follow.
How does all of this happen? We let it. We are too busy and too entertained to notice. We are unwilling to “look bad” or be thought of as “uncaring” by standing firm. Everyday that we have allowed and continue to allow these violations against reason, logic, truth, emotion and God to continue, the fascist chains slink closer and tighter.

We need to fight, not with fists or weapons, but with words. Do not leave the public field of ideas, knowledge and discussion to those who would eliminate the very foundation of our society– “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
We have quietly allowed evil to triumph for so long, that now there are many fires to put out. The promotion of Critical Race Theory to public school children (yes, even in small town North Dakota) and Satanic Ritual coloring books for Kindergartners are just two examples. We cannot let these new educational activities be normalized.
We have to do something. We have to do it now. Our opportunity is quickly slipping away. There is no where left to hide. We must pledge to our children and to our grandchildren that we will not fail them another day. And then… pray. Pray without ceasing. Do not hide at home and pray. Pray while you are walking and talking and doing life. Pray that every word and action you create helps to secure a place of safety and freedom for the future. Pray that God will guide you, use you. Pray that God will help you to trust that he will protect our children while we face this, because the battle belongs to the Lord. (This whole paragraph is totally me telling myself these things…)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
